Mister Music

Welcome back to another addition of stuff. News items. WE HAVE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. It turns out we’d only just finished setting the scene, so there hadn’t been time to flesh them out. Having written the latest 2 chapters I’ve managed to get them into some arguments, have some interesting backstory and even some subtle hinting at underlying character flaws. So, fun. That may sound like I’ve taken advice on writing it, which I haven’t yet. It’s all me realising stuff as I go along. Of course when we’re at least 3/4s through we’ll get some serious editing/editors. Given that fact the whole format could change it’s all still very if-y. But with the holidays I’ll have plenty of time to do stuff in.

Oh yeah, finished exams, so now just an orientation week and we’re off for the holidays. I say off. I’ll be trapped in front of my computer trying to fulfill my promise to myself to finish at least most of TGS before the start of the “all important” year twelve. The results of my exams are a testament to my foresight and not so much a testament to my study-ethic.

A bit of Fry and Laurie is hilarious, but occasionally dull. Theres one sketch in particular that goes for ages and it generally not very funny. And it isn’t the one with “Control” and the other guy. Anyway…other stuff.

DotaStrategy…whilst not my preferred gaming afternoon by any sense of the word, has played host to a small TGS thread as posted by “Ghost” (without asking me OR Ven I might add). Ghost is an alt of Threads, or rather the original Threads. I am a little disheartened that some think TGS is for nubs, but I guess it was never going to appeal to every demographic now was it? We’ve had four visitors from there so far, none of which dropped a line. I will therefore be killing their children with their own kitchen knives.

Oh yeah, reading some stuff. More Oscar Wilde, which is getting weird, and The Gormenghast Trilogy. I’m starting to feel really literary for some reason. Fun though.

Lastly, I send good luck to Arkatufus who is working on what looks to be a fabulous project as of late, and hope that production runs smoothly up until it’s release. Good luck Ark.

Voting has closed and in case you can’t read the poll, DoubleDusk won by a landslide, which is cool. Also people other than my immediate friends voted, which is doubly cool. Many people (3) asked wtf Hirethes is, and seeing as this post needs substance I will answer. Not that there’s a lot to it. A while ago (6ish years?) I got into Morrowind. And I tried to think of an awesome fantasy name…and Hirethes came to mind. Yeah, that’s it, not particularly exciting. Also it’s pronounced HERE-REH-THEES you uneducated swines!

Okay…what’s been happening that you don’t care about…Exams I guess. I had two exams. I will have more next week. I will fail 3 of 6. A seventh subject doesn’t have exams. Some so called “friends” bought me what is known as a “formal ticket”. I didn’t realise I had either until today. That’ll give you an idea of how much attention I pay to anything.

I started reading more Oscar Wilde when I was feeling particularly enlightened and upper-middle class. It’s good stuff, lots of dialogue. And hedonism, which, strangely enough, is my new favorite word, even though I knew it beforehand. It’s a nice change from punching people in the gut and hitting them with “I broke your water.” My new phrase is also a great deal more mature than that…entertaining…event.

So, TGS eh? We made a mini-site in VET MM, which I can’t be bothered checking whether I mentioned or not already. It’s now slightly finished in so much as it doesn’t explode anymore. If I can be bothered fixing it up, I may post it here. Hold you breath. I want you to die. No one will cry. I’ve cut out their eyes. Ooo! Spontaneous poetry…kinda. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d delete that, it’s sickening. Though the backspace key is ALL the way over there. Really it would have been easier to press it a few times rather than ranting on like this. Ah well. Live and learn.

Also Muesli gives the current TGS “script” the thumbs-up. Or something less lame. But as I already knew, it’s bloody confusing, due to intertwining and numerous backstories. Also the blogs highest hit return from Google etc. is variants on Ruger mk II, which is at 7 and 3 more “gun artwork”s or similar. Oh, and one “Japanese fighting spiders”, which made me smile. Yay, emotions. Wow, how much do I sound like an emo? Later dudes
